It’s been reported today that shops and supermarkets are running low on stocks of Red Pens. We talked to some shop workers from our local large branch of a supermarket (that don’t have any advertising with us).
One of the workers told us “This time of year we always run out. It’s because people buy them to draw rings around the programs they want to watch in the Radio Times and News Paper magazines.”
This reporter wanted to follow up on this theory so I waited till I saw a shopper picking up a pack of Red Biros. I approached and asked her what she intended to do with them. She told me “I’m going to draw rings around all the programs I want to watch over Christmas in the Radio Times. I don’t know how to setup the record function of my TV box!”
Confirmation, for those that don’t know how to record their favorite programs on demand boxes, they buy the Radio Times and some Red Pens; while they’re still some available.
